TRM_LR_FI_AN: Securities Lending (new)

Use

As of SAP Enhancement Package 3 for ERP 6.0 (EA-FINSERV 603), Business Function TRM: Hedge Accounting, New Instruments, New Key Figures:

• A new product category, Securities Lending, will be available. This new category is an interest rate derivative. The loaned securities position is reflected by means of a securities account transfer with corresponding blocks set on the loaned positions.

• Cash Collateral is reflected by means of additional flows in the securities transaction.

• Security collateral will be maintained within the securities lending transaction.

The advantage of Securities Lending for the lender:

• Enhanced yield

The advantages of Securities Lending for the borrower:

• Short positions are covered.

• Matched-book and cash trading are now facilitated.

• Reduction in the number of fails.

• Increased operational efficiency.
