FIN_TRM_LR_FI_AN: Valuation Class Transfer (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA-FINSERV 603), business function TRM: Hedge Accounting, New Financial Products, New Key Figures, the Valuation Class Transfer function is available not only in the Securities area, but also in the Money Market, Foreign Exchange, and OTC Derivatives areas of the Transaction Manager.

  • In the areas Money Market, Foreign Exchange Trading, and OTC Derivatives, you can also change the valuation class of a position.
  • In the Securities area, you can now transfer multiple securities positions at the same time.

Effects on Existing Data

Effects on Data Transfer

To execute the valuation class transfer for existing product types in the areas Money Market, Foreign Exchange Trading, or OTC Derivatives, you need to convert the data accordingly. You have two options:

  • You can adjust the data for all existing product types as part of the general release upgrade. This increases the effort required for the release upgrade.
  • You can convert data for selected product types using report RTPM_TRG_MIG_OTC_TRQ. You can also perform this conversion independently of the release upgrade.
    Note: Data needs to be converted before the first valuation class transfer for this product type.

Effects on Customizing

If you have not yet used the valuation class transfer function for securities or loans, you need to execute the two activities Define Update Types and Assign Usages and Assign Update Types for Valuation Class Transfer. These can be found in Customizing for the Transaction Manager by choosing General Settings → Accounting → Valuation Class Transfer.
