FIN_TRM_INS_LOCFR: Impairment (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA-FINSERV 605), business function TRM, Transaction Management Localization for France(FIN_TRM_INS_LOCFR), you can carry out the impairment of securities and bonds according to the requirements of French GAAP. Instead of the existing Reference Report for Impairment(TPM75) transaction, you can use a new Record Impairment(IDCFM_FRIM_CREATE) transaction to determine which positions need to be impaired and to calculate the impairment. It enables you to do the following:

• Differentiate between securities and bonds when selecting which positions need to be impaired.

• Use an expert value or an expected value for the impairment calculation.

• Post the impairment of positions by transferring them to the Price Maintenance for Special Security Valuation (TPM73) transaction.

In addition, you can use the Display Impairment(IDCFM_FRIM_DISPLAY) transaction to display impairment runs that have already been carried out. In Customizing, you can adapt the selection process and the impairment calculation to your own requirements.

Effects on Existing Data

The Record Impairmentand Display Impairmenttransactions have been added to the area menu. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Accounting -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> Country Specifics -> France -> Impairment.

Effects on Customizing

You make the Customizing settings for this function in Customizing for Financial Supply Chain Management under Treasury and Risk Management. In addition to the required generic settings, you make country-specific settings in the following new Customizing activities:

• Define Selection Parameters for Impairment Report: Define selection parameters for the selection screen in the Record Impairmenttransaction. This enables you to define different selection criteria for securities and bonds.

• Activate Functions for Company Code: Activate the impairment function for the required company codes.

You can adapt the selection process and the impairment calculation to your own requirements using the new Business Add-In (BAdI) BAdI: Calculation of Impairment.
