FIN_TRM_LR_FI_AN_3: FAS 157 Reporting (New)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0(EA-FINSERV 605), business function TRM, New Instruments, Accounting Enhancements, Reporting (FIN_TRM_LR_FI_AN_3) you can use this new functionality which enables you to report according to FAS157, which is a legal standard under US GAAP. This standard proposes the fair value calculation of financial instruments and further adjusted fair value based on counterparty risk. The delivered report displays the fair value of financial instruments and classifies them in three levels.

Under Treasury and Risk Management → Transaction Manager → Information System → Reports → Regulatory Reporting under the new node FAS 157you find:

• Classify Securities by Level (transaction FTI_FAS157_LEV_SEC)

• Classify Loans by Level (transaction FTI_FAS157_LEV_LOAN)

• Classify OTC Deals by Level (transaction FTI_FAS157_LEV_OTC)

• FAS157 Compliance Overview (transaction FTI_FAS157_OVERVIEW)

• FAS157 Levl 3 Details (transaction FTI_FAS157_LEVEL3)

Under Treasury and Risk Management → Transaction Manager → General Settings → Information System → FAS 157 you can find the following new IMG activities:

• FAS157: Classify Product Categories and Types into Levels

• FAS 157: Assign Update Types to Level 3 Categories
