Business Partner: Field Modification 3.0D

Description

You can use the field modification function for the Treasury Business Partner to select or hide business partner attributes for required entry fields, optional entry fields and display-only fields.

The modification is controlled both by the activity (create, change or display) and the role category.

When you call Customizing for the first time, you must create the activities to be maintained and the role categories. The "field modification" function then takes you to an overview screen that displays all the relevant business partner field groups to be modified.

All the existing field groups are listed in the field modification maintenance for the activity. You should take into account that the Customizing settings for the activities 'create' and 'change' should be identical here, and that the settings required entry field and optional entry field are not relevant for the activity.

When you maintain the role categories, only those field groups that are intended for the role are displayed.

If the business partner has several roles with the same field group, the system decides how the field group is formatted.

Example:

The field group 'credit standing' is maintained as a required entry field in the role of borrower and as an optional entry field in the role of Treasury Partner.

If partner 1 exists in both roles, the field group 'credit standing' appears as a required entry field.
