Securities: New area menu for securities management
Description
The area menu for securities management has been changed.
These change affect order management, capital structure changes and securities account overview.
The previous menu functions 'Change order', 'Display order', 'Change transaction', 'Display transaction' and 'Change settlement', 'Display settlement' have been replaced by the function 'Change transaction' and 'Display transaction'.
Until Release 3.0C, the term 'transaction' was used to mean 'order execution'. With effect from Release 3.0D this term now describes a new level comprising the three possible statuses in order management (order, execution, settlement).
When you select the function 'Display transaction', the system determines the highest existing status
of the order number concerned using the rule order < execution < settlement. This means that the user
no longer has to keep track of the present status of a transaction.
Example:
An order number has the statuses: order, execution and settlement. If you select 'Display
transaction', the system displays the settlement.From here, you can display the underlying statuses by selecting the menu entries 'Order settlement -> Display execution' or 'Order settlement -> Display order'.
The same applies to the function 'Change transaction'.
Capital structure changes have been divided into functions which are covered by trading and those which are covered by back office. They are divided as follows:
The functions 'Exercise convertible bond', 'Detach warrant', 'Exercise
warrant' and 'Exercise subscription right' are now found under menu
path 'Trading -> Transaction -> Exercise'.
The functions 'Stock split', 'Capital reduction', 'Post subscription right', 'Transfer new stock' and 'Capital increase from company resources' are found under menu path 'Back office -> Position management -> Capital structure changes'.
The function 'Charge off warrant' is found under 'Back office -> Position management'.
You can reach the 'securities account overview' function both via
Trading ('Trading -> Utilities -> Securities account overview') and via Back office.
