3.0F1: Master agreements for Commercial Paper transactions

Description

A master agreement is used to lay down the conditions which need to be met by transactions under the master agreement. It includes the following details:

  • Term
  • Permitted company codes
  • Permitted business partners
  • Permitted transactions and the minimum and maximum terms allowed for these transactions
  • Permitted currencies and the minimum amount, the tranche and the total volume of transactions which may be concluded in the respective currency.

You can find the transaction to edit master agreements in the area menu Money market under Master data --> Master agreement.

You can assign transactions to a master agreement when you create a transaction. If you want to change the allocation made when creating the transaction or assign transactions to a master agreement at a later stage, you can use the function Assign transaction. In all cases, the system checks whether the transaction meets the conditions laid down in the master agreement.

You can use the program Volume utilization to check the extent to which allocated transactions have utilized the total volume of master agreements.
