User-defined corporate actions

With effect from Release 3.0F it is possible to perform user-defined corporate actions in addition to those programmed in the system (such as stock split, capital reduction). To do so, you need to carry out the following activities:

• You define the corporate action for all company codes under

Back office -> Position management -> Corporate action ->
Create oth.corp.act.

You enter the key date, relevant position changes and the flow types to be used under an ID number.

• For each company code in which positions of the affected securities are managed, you carry out the postings for a corporate action defined in this way under

Back office -> Position management -> Corporate action ->
Post oth.corp.act.

At this point the positions are updated and the documents generated in the general ledger and subledger.

This two-stage logic (announcing the action at client level and posting per company code) will be available for the corporate actions programmed in the system with effect from Release 3.1.
