Changes to structure of Treasury Management Reference IMG

Description

Up to Release 3.0F, the SAP Reference IMG for Treasury Management was only available as an industry solution add-on. With Release 4.0A Treasury Management has been integrated into the standard system. The following information is only relevant for customers who have used Treasury Management prior to 4.0A.

The following changes were made:

  • Basic functions, Master data
    The Master Datasection has been deleted. The sub-sections have been moved as follows:
  • The Business Partner section is now directly under Basic Functions, and also contains the Industry.

  • The sections Maintain number ranges for linking transactions, Correspondence types and Currencies have been assigned to a new section named Transaction Management.

  • The sections Indexes and Current Settings are now under Market Data Management. The Current Settings have been renamed Manual Rate/Price/Value Maintenance.

  • Basic Functions, Tools
  • The Market Data section has been renamed Market Data Management and is now directly under Basic Functions.

  • The Copy Standard Treasury Customizing section is new.

  • Basic Functions, Payment Management
  • This section is now under Accounting.

  • Basic Functions, Accounting
  • This section contains two sub-sections: Payment Management and Valuation. Under valuation you now define the valuation principles and valuation classes. These steps were previously included in the individual sections for money market, foreign exchange, derivatives and securities. The step Define manual reversal types now belongs to the Accounting section and no longer exists elsewhere.

  • Basic Functions, Market Data Management
  • A new Master Data section has been added, in which you can define all the master data for currencies, securities, reference interest rates and statistics.

  • Money Market/Foreign Exchange/Derivatives, Master Data
  • The Master Data section has been renamed Transaction Management. The order of the Customizing steps has been changed. You now process product types, transaction types, flow types and condition types one after the other.

  • Money Market/Foreign Exchange/Derivatives, Functions/Correspondence
  • You now Define correspondence types under Basic Functions -> Transaction Management.

  • Money Market/Foreign Exchange/Derivatives, Functions/Posting
  • The Posting section has been renamed Accounting. The Valuation section and the Define accrual/deferral step have also been added.

  • Loans, Basic Functions
  • The installation parameters for the number ranges required by the loans module have been added to this section.

  • Loans, Transaction Management
  • This section covers the Customizing settings for transaction management, including product types, flow types, condition types, and release. These settings are important control parameters in the application.

  • Loans, Master Data
  • This section contains Customizing settings which only have a minor or no control function in the application. These inlcude the loan category, the purpose of the loan or the type of contract acceptance.

  • Loans, Functions
  • This section covers special functions in loan management, such as settings for correspondence, rollover, accounting or dunning proceedings.

  • Loans, Information System
  • This section contains settings relating to the information system, such as revenue lists, position lists, regulatory reporting or deadline monitoring.

  • Loans, Tools
  • This section contains the tools which support the implementation process, such as copying text processing or a company code.
