New Features in the Treasury Information System

Scope of Functions

New technical features

  1. Alternative output with the ABAP List Viewer (ALV)
The ALV and a control-based report structure have been added to provide an alternative output tool to the classic drilldown reporting tool. The link to the ALV enables you to display a list of all the characteristics in the lead column.
You call up the ALV initially using the ALV grid, which has functions similar to Excel. Using the print preview function, you can switch to the classic ALV, which includes functions for outputting (printing) several rows.
  1. Basic reports
You can now define 'basic reports'. You no longer need to create forms, when you create these types of reports.
  1. Variables with selection options
In addition to parameter variables, you can now use selection option-type variables variable categories for global variables. Note that when you choose such a variable as a navigation characteristic and enter values for these variables in the selection screen for the report, you can no longer use the selected characteristic to navigate in the list output.
  1. Customer exits for the money market, forex, derivatives, securities, loans areas:

New features for all report types

  1. To simplify and improve the structure of position reporting, all the position key figures have been divided into balance sheet and non-balance sheet positions. The balance sheet positions are further divided into assets and liabilities, depending on which side of the balance sheet they appear.
  2. The currency references of key figures have been revised as part of the standardization process of the Treasury reporting functions. To ensure that existing (customer) reports are upgraded smoothly, existing references were not changed. Rather, standard references were defined for cross-Treasury Management reporting. The term 'profit/loss currency' has been introduced as part of the standardization process. Depending on the source of the profit/loss, this currency is filled with the payment currency (for example, for interest) or with the position currency (for example, for write-downs) of the individual flow.
  3. The following areas have been connected to the Executive Information System (EIS):
  • Money market

  • Foreign exchange

  • Derivatives

  • Cash Management

  1. Business partner hierarchies
After you have imported the table entry with HIENM = '1SAPNN' from client 000 to your client using view V_TRSTHV for application class 'TRM' and domain 'BP_PARTNR', you can use all hierarchies for all relationship categories.
  1. Remaining terms and number of overdue days for flows:
  • Remaining term = difference between the reference date and the due date of the payment.

  • Number of days overdue = difference between the due date of the payment and the reference date.

  1. New report types
  • 'Derivatives (OTC interest rate instruments): For a given date'.

  • 'Derivatives (listed transactions): For a given date'

  • 'Derivatives (listed transactions): For a given period'

  1. A large number of new key figures and characteristics have been defined in all report types, in particular for the cross-Treasury report types 'Treasury: For a given date' and 'Treasury: For a given period'.

New features for securities report types

  1. Daily positions for flow reporting
In the 'Securities: For a given period' reports, you can now display the positions between the 'from date' and the 'to date' for the following key figures:
  • Acquisition value in position currency and local currency

  • Book value in position currency and local currency

  • Total nominal amount in position currency

This enables you to determine average positions without using the Treasury link to the EIS.
  1. When you process positions, the time characteristic that is relevant according to the key date reference (such as the position value date) is now filled with the key date (start or end of the flow period) for non-cumulative values (at the start and at the end of the reporting period). Previously, the initial value for the relevant time characteristic was '00000000'. This new feature makes the lists much easier to read.
