Money Market: Effective Interest Rate Calculation and Update

Scope of Functions

From this release, the effective interest rate is calculated and updated in the database when you process transactions in Money Market if you have specified an effective interest method when defining the respective product type. You then have the effective interest rate available for evaluations in Reporting.

When processing transactions, the effective interest rate can also be calculated and displayed in line with all effective interest rate methods available.

Effects on Existing Data

Transactions created prior to this release or those for which an effective interest rate method was only specified when defining the product type can be processed with the help of a report on Effective interest rate calculation and update.

Effects on Customizing

You must have first entered an effective interest rate method when defining the product type in order to use this function.
