Changes to the Period-End Closing Function

Scope of Functions

When you use the period-end closing function, you can now also select according to securities accounts. Since it only really makes sense to select entire securities account groups, you also have the option of adding the securities accounts selected to securities account groups automatically.

There are two new functions: 'Reset period-end closing' and 'Display last period-end closing'.

When you use the 'Reset period-end closing' function, you can select according to company code, security ID number and securities account, and reset the positions which were closed up to and on the key date. You can add the securities accounts to entire securities account groups. You cannot reset the period-end closing if a 'complex business transaction' exists after the key date. Complex business transactions here include accruals/deferrals, valuation, corporate actions, exercising rights, securities account transfers and amortization. In such a case, you reset the period-end closing up to one of these business transactions and reverse the complex business transaction before continuing to reset the period-end closing.

The 'Display last period-end closing' function allows you to select according to the company code and security ID number. It displays a list of the data of the last closed flows per company code, security ID number and securities account.
