Stock Swap

The securities rights function now also supports stock swaps. You can now also define swap offers for a certain swap ratio including a settlement payment in the class master data of a stock. This situation is occurring more frequently in take-over bids.

Giving Notice on Bonds

You can define both the option for the issuer to give notice (callable bonds) and the option for the bondholder to give notice (puttable bonds). The notice is valid within a certain notice period for a certain notice price (unit-quoted bonds) or for a certain notice rate (percentage-quoted bonds).

Executing Security Rights

The following previous functions have now been replaced by a single function:

  • Exercise warrant
  • Detach warrant bond
  • Exercise subscription right
  • Exercise convertible bond

Call up the function in the application menu for the securities area by choosing Trading -→ Security right -→Exercise.
This function enables you to exercise all security rights. You can navigate between the rights categories (warrants, subscription rights, warrant bonds...) using a tree structure.

Reversing Security Rights

The function for exercising security rights also has its own reversal function. Call it up in the application menu of the securities area by choosing Trading -→ Security right -→ Reverse.

Special Features:

It is no longer necessary to enter the option category (call/put) and the settlement type (cash settlement/delivery) when you create class master data for warrants. You must, however, specify the option category and settlement type at the latest when you exercise the warrant.

The option 'expiration of a warrant' is also provided when you exercise the warrant. This is particularly useful if exercising the warrant does not lead to a positive result and the warrant expires without having been exercised.

Effects on Data Transfer

To exercise already existing security rights (in other words, class master data already exists), you first have to start the report program 'RFVWERMR'.

Effects on Customizing

  • Define the following flow types for flow categories in Customizing for the securities area by choosing 'Define Flow Types'.
  • AER (debit)

  • SER (credit)

  • XER (debit & credit)

  • XAER (debit & credit)

  • XDER (debit & credit)

  • KER (debit & credit)

  • XEER (debit & credit)

  • XFER (debit & credit)

  • CER (debit & credit)

  • CFER (debit & credit)

  • XCER (debit & credit)

  • You also have to assign the flow types to the relevant flow categories in Customizing for securities by choosing 'Assign Flow Types to Flow Category' for the condition group 000.
