Determining and Calculating Transaction Taxes

Use

As of CRM Release 3.0, you can use the Transaction Tax Engine (TTE) in Mobile, Internet, and Telesales A/R scenarios, in the Billing Engine, and in EBP purchase orders to determine the applicable:

  • Tax types
  • Tax rules
  • Tax rates
  • Tax exemptions (where applicable)
  • Tax calculation procedure
  • Tax amount

  • Tax simulation
  • Tax calculation is independent of an R/3 FI backend system and the existence of FI objects such as Company Code, Tax Indicator, and so on

To use the Transaction Tax Engine:

In a CRM system, billing must be carried out internally. If billing does not take place in the CRM system, see the Release Note Taxes for additional information

The condition type 0TTE must be assigned and defined in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Customer Relationship Management:

Customer Relationship Management → Basic Functions → Pricing → Define Settings for Pricing → Condition Types

Customer Relationship Management → Basic Functions → Pricing → Pricing in Business Transaction → Define Document Pricing Procedures

Effects on Customizing

To implement the TTE, make the settings in the Implementation Guide for the Transaction Tax Engine:

Cross Applications -> Transaction Tax Engine
