Short text
Internet-compatible Workflow: starting and executing tasks
Description
In addition to the existing Internet functionality (Internet scenarios in the SAP business environment), integration between Workflow and the Internet has been further increased by an option to start workflows using HTML forms and to execute work items for form tasks in the integrated inbox via the Internet.
The following functions are available:
- An Internet-compatible transaction can be generated from a task. This transaction can enter data in the task container and start the task. In a second step, the transaction serves as the basis for the creation of an HTML form as a "user interface on the Internet" using the WEB-Studio.
- AN HTML form which executes a work item in the current process and therefore allows manipulation of the data in the work item container can be created in the same way.
Both functions are mostly automatic, although the layout must be checked subsequently in each case.

If this functionality is to be implemented, a namespace for the Internet-compatible transactions must be maintained: Namespace maintenance
