Generic "object services" for the object being processed

Description

Generic, application-independent functions for objects are provided via a central access point in the "System" menu, which has been extended to include the entry "Object services".

The following object services, which involve Workflow functionality, are available for the current object:

• Workflow information

Users can display information about where the current object is used in work items and workflows.

• Start workflow

Tasks can be started as "subsequent activities" in object processing.

Certain conditions must be fulfilled by the task:

• the task must process an object of the same type as the current object, which can be transferred to the task to be started as an import parameter.

• the user who calls the function must have authorization to start the task.

• Send object

The current object can be sent as an attachment to a SAPoffice mail. The recipient can display the object directly from the mail.

Additional object services are available in the same menu from the areas SAP ArchiveLink and IDoc processing.
