EDI: Test tool changes

Description

Changes have been made in the following areas:

• Outbound processing from Message Control record (MC record).

The function outbound processing from SAP document has been replaced with outbound processing from MC record. Thus, you can test if a SAP document is correctly converted to an IDoc. You must create and save a SAP document that is to be sent using the EDI Interface. An MC record with the dispatch time 1 must have been written.

• Inbound processing with original inbound file

The function inbound has been renamed.

It is described in the manual The EDI Interface - Basis.

• Inbound processing with modified outbound file

This function allows you to use an outbound file generated in the SAP System for inbound processing, without the need to make a convertor or the original EDI messages available. You can test whether received IDocs are correctly stored in the system, that a process has been correctly created, and whether the IDocs have been correctly converted to SAP documents.

The control records are changed from IDocs to an outbound file so that they are then inbound IDocs.

To test the EDI Interface, choose Tools -> Administration -> Administration -> Process Technology -> EDI -> Test.
