Short text
Addresses: Convert person addresses with the report RSSAD201
Description
The person address table (SADRP) has been extended with new fields from Release 3.0A to allow a more differentiated SAPoffice search (e.g. by first or last names). The report RSSAD201 converts person addresses from before Release 3.0A into the new structure.
The table SADRP has been extended by the following fields:
- LNAME,,,,(last name)
- FNAME,,,,(first name)
- NAMECMPY,,,,(company name)
- UCLNAME,,,,(last name in upper-case)
- UCFNAME,,,,(first name in upper-case)
- UCNAMECMPY,,(company name in upper-case)
- UCABTEI,,,,(departnent in upper-case)
The report RSSAD201 converts the field NAME1 into the new fields LNAME and FNAME and puts the company
name (SADR-NAME1) in the field NAMECMPY. The fields UCLNAME, UCFNAME, UCABTEI and UCNAMECMPY are filled with the contents of the fields LNAME, FNAME, ABTEI, NAMECMPY respectively, in upper-case.
The contents of the field NAME1 are retained, so the report can be restarted in case of error.
- Caution
- The conversion of field NAME1 into LNAME and FNAME assumes that NAME1 comprises 'First name Last name', i.e. the last string in NAME1 is put in the field LNAME and the rest in the field FNAME. If this is not the case, the report must be modified. The form routine SPLIT_NAME splits NAME1 into LNAME and FNAME.

Dependent functions
SAPoffice users have a unique person address. The input and output of user names and the search for SAP office users use the person address first name (FNAME) and last names (LNAME).
- Note
-
You can run the report RSSOUADR to assign a person address to an existing SAPoffice
user (via Tools -> Administration -> Administration -> Process technology -> Office
-> Office user). A person address is automatically assigned when a new SAPoffice user is created.
The entry of a company address in the office settings is a prerequisite for the assignment of person addresses.
