What-If and Review (New)

Use

As of SAP xApp Resource and Portfolio Management (SAP xRPM) 4.0 SP4, you can create a what-if scenario and edit the version items created within the scenario.

You can create what-if scenarios out of the context of a review. Versions are created for all items within the review and are available for a simulation of planning data, such as key performance indicators and financial and capacity planning data.

To use the functions of what-if status and next status, you must make settings in Customizing for SAP xApp Resource and Portfolio Management (SAP xRPM), by choosing Global Customizing -> Portfolio-Independent Settings -> Define Portfolio Types.

To define the scenario type for the What-If function, you have to make your settings in Customizing under SAP xApp Resource and Portfolio Management (SAP xRPM) -> Global Customizing -> Portfolio-Independent Settings -> Maintain Objects for Substitution -> Define Scenario Types for What-If.
