Subcontracting: Goods Receipt with Unchanged Material and Serial Numbers

Scope of Functions

When posting goods receipt with reference to a purchase order, the system recognizes that it is dealing with the special case of subcontracting (that is, a rework with unchanged material and serial numbers). At this point, the user can decide whether goods receipt should actually occur for the same physical part (that is, the same serial number as specified in the purchase order), or whether the subcontractor returns a different part with a new serial number.

You can only use transaction MB01 to post goods receipt.
