/AFS/M3098 - Problems during update of T130F - /AFS/M3 098

Diagnosis

During the upgrade to AFS 2.5B there was an attempt to move material master fields from field selection group (industry) to field selection group 150 (AFS). This was not possible, because the field control of field selection group in your system differs from that of field selection group 150.

Procedure

THE ASSIGNMENT TO FIELD SELECTION GROUP WILL PROBABLY NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON YOUR PRODUCTIVE ENVIRONMENT. HOWEVER, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THERE COULD BE PROBLEMS WITH FUTURE UPGRADES. THEREFORE, YOU SHOULD CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING STEPS WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE:

In the display of the level 3 messages you see the material master fields contained in field selection group . Call up the function "Assign Fields to Field Selection Groups" in the Implementation Guide (transaction OMSR). Assign a new field selection group to the AFS fields of field selection group . Use the range reserved for customers, between 211 and 240.

Next, you need to assign the same field selection to the new field selection group as group has. For this, call up function "Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens" in the Implementation Guide and adjust the field selection control accordingly.
