Diagnosis

You tried to maintain values for a value mapping where the database type, the value mapping type, or both of these have not been maintained.

System Response

Creating a value mapping with transaction /AIF/VMAP is not possible.

Procedure

In Customizing for the SAP Application Interface Framework under Define Value Mappings, enter the namespace and the name of your value mapping and maintain a database type and value mapping type.

If you do not have authorization for the Customizing activity Define Value Mappings, contact your system administrator or ask the developer of the value mappings to maintain the database and value mapping type.
