Diagnosis

The system cannot determine any actions for one of the following reasons:

In Customizing for the Post Processing Framework (PPF):

• You have not assigned any actions for the relevant business object.

• You have selected the Inactive setting for the relevant action definition.

In Customizing for output management:

• You have not assigned any action profiles for the relevant business object.

• You have not selected the Enablesetting for any action profiles.

Contact your system administrator.

Procedure for System Administration

You define the Customizing settings for both the PPF and output management in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Process and Tools for Enterprise Applications → Reusable Objects and Functions for BOPF Environment → PPF Adapter for Output Management.

To assign actions to the relevant business objects, perform the following steps:

1. Choose Maintain PPF Settings.
2. Choose an appropriate application, and choose the Define Action Profile and Actions pushbutton.
3. Choose an appropriate action profile or create an action profile if necessary. Choose Action Definition.
4. Choose an appropriate action definition or create an action definition if necessary. Choose Processing Types.
5. Specify the relevant processing types and settings as required.

To activate an action in PPF, perform the following steps:

1. Choose Maintain PPF Settings.
2. Choose the appropriate application, and choose the Define Action Profile and Actions pushbutton.
3. Choose the appropriate action profile, and choose Action Definition.
4. Deselect the Inactive checkbox for the appropriate action definition.

To assign an action profile in output management, perform the following steps:

1. Choose Maintain Output Management Adapter Settings.
2. Choose the appropriate output agent entry, and choose Assign PPF Profiles.
3. Assign the necessary action profiles and activate.
4. Specify the relevant details for Action Settings and Processing Type Settings as required.

To enable action profiles in output management, perform the following steps:

1. Choose Maintain Output Management Adapter Settings.
2. Choose the appropriate business object, and choose Assign PPF Profiles.
3. Select the Enable checkbox for the action definition.
