Diagnosis

When you post costs on a WBS element that is not assigned to a sales order item, these costs will not be considered for revenue recognition. Revenue recognition will be incomplete as long as you have work packages that are not assigned to a sales order item. In addition, market segment information will not be available for such postings.

Therefore, your profitability reporting will be incorrect for this project.
