Diagnosis

Revenue for expenses cannot be planned in the following scenarios:

• In work packages of internal projects, because there is no billing to a customer

• In service-based work packages, because the customer is billed only for the service. If you need to bill expenses, you must plan them in a separate work package and assign the work package to a Time and Expense billing contract.

• If the expense is planned as a non-billable item

System Response

The system does not allow the creation of such entries.

Procedure

In customer projects, plan any billable expenses only in resource-based work packages and assign them to time and expense contracts.
