Diagnosis

Missing remote function call (RFC) connection for the BW client.

System Response

Procedure

Create an RFC connection in your CRM system that points to the BW client. Then define the connection in Customizing.

Use Configuration of RFC Connections (transaction SM59) to create the RFC connection as follows:

  1. Create one RFC connection pointing to the BW client (RFC destinations XXXCLNTNNN_T with XXX for the system and NNN the client number).
  2. Under Logon & Security, choose No for the trusted system, put the BW client number as the client, and choose the ALE user (normally ALEREMOTE), providing the correct password.

In all CRM clients, use Maintain Table Views (transaction SM30) to enter the RFC destination to the BW client for view SMOFPARSFA as follows:
