Diagnosis

The system checks whether the connection to the SAP HANA database has been created and the configuration required for SAP CRM interactive reporting on SAP HANA VDM is correct.

System Response

Procedure

The following two configuration steps have to be checked or performed:

• Start transaction DBCO Description of Database Connectionsto define the connection to the SAP HANA database, which contains the virtual data model (package sap.hba.crm) for the corresponding CRM system.
  If the CRM system runs on SAP HANA as a primary database, you do not need to define anything else here in addition to the existing database connections.

• Ensure that the user of the SAP HANA database has read access to the scheme SYS_BI.

• Define parameters that represent the database connection in the customizing activity Define system parameters for SAP HANA database.

Procedure for System Administration

You can only use a side-by-side SAP HANA VDM scenario if you first set up real-time replication from the primary database to the SAP HANA database.
