In this Customizing activity, you maintain storage program types and corresponding descriptions for commingled stocks.

If the load is identified as a commingled stock that means that this load is accepted for storage, but not purchased for owning, a storage program will be assigned during or after the data capture.

The assignment of storage program enables identifying the load quantity as a commingled stock and also the assignment of storage fees relating to the relevant load.

• Storage fees are not calculated and settled by the SAP system. However, the user can download the application documents associated loads with storage programs and manyually calculate the fees.

• Additional business rule definition enables a storage program to be related to a combination of plant and material. You can define more than one storage program for the same combination, and a single program can also be assigned to multiple combinations.

To define a storage program type and its description, proceed as follows:

1. Click New Entries.
2. Define the following fields:

• Program Type

• Description

You can set up a storage program type for open storage.

The most licensed facilities do have the default storage type program where they visually display their default storage fees for that facility.
