In this section you specify per plant whether the special stock types defined here are considered during the planning run. That means that the special stock types are physically available in the warehouse and are temporarily assigned to the requirement.
The segment name of a special stock is for example MSKA. This is stock you use for the fulfillment of a certain sales order. The field name KALAB describes that this stock is special stock and thus for unrestricted-use. That means that as long as there is enough stock, you can satisfy the requirements quantity of this sales order with this special stock.
The special stock types are divided into segments (database tables) and within these segments into field names (quantity fields).
To define special stock types and to flag them as MRP-relevant, make them subject to a basic selection of quantity fields that are included in the respective database table in the Data Browser.
You carry out the following activities to make the special stock types available for MRP and your plant:
- Enter the plant
- Copy as
- Flag as available for MRP
Name the plant for which the special stock types that have been selected from the table are MRP-relevant. Copy them to your plant. Flag the corresponding special stock types as available for MRP.
If the special stock types are physically available in the warehouse and are temporarily assigned to the requirement (x), the MRP list gets status T. If you do not flag this special stock type as MRP-relevant (blank), the stock is displayed as freely available stock in the MRP list (MRP status A).
The special stock type "stock transfer at plant level" is not supported by AFS. All available special stock types are automatically delivered with AFS.
