In this IMG section you can define rules specifically for the requirements of special customers, so that you can execute your own release procedures of the allocation.

To do this, take the following steps:

  1. First define a release rule, which is to be exclusively valid for one customer-specific release procedure.
  2. Define a special release strategy.
  3. Assign your customer-specific release rule to this release strategy (dependent on the sales document type and sales area).
  4. Finally, activate the special release procedure for a customer by storing the release strategy for that customer.

See the documentation for the IMG section Define Release Rules.

You have four different customers, for whom you want different release rules with different percentages to be valid within an allocation type. Customers 1 and 3, who are important customers, should always receive 100% of their ordered quantities, whereas customers 2 and 4, who are not as important, can be supplied with only 70% or more of their ordered quantities.

So that the system checks whether or not a customer-specific release procedure should be used during the allocation, you must choose the parameter F - Sales Order - Dependent Rule in the release section of your allocation type. The system will then first check during each allocation run whether customer-specific release rules exist. If there are no customer-specific release rules, the global release rule of the allocation type will be used.
