In this Customizing activity, you define settings that are relevant for error handling at a global level.

You can use global settings to define the following:

  • Dissolved structures
In some cases, the structure of the messages for an interface includes substructures that are always related to a parent structure and should not be displayed separately. By defining a dissolved structure name, the corresponding structure will not be shown at a separate level in the Monitoring and Error Handling transaction but will be consolidated with the parent structure.
  • Trace level
Trace levels define the level of detail for the log messages that will be saved in the application log. The standard trace level is 0. However, a higher trace level, which will result in more processing information (depending on the setup of the trace levels), can be assigned to a specific interface or data message in the Monitoring and Error Handling transaction or directly in the database table /AIF/FINF_TL.

  1. In order to maintain dissolved structures, choose Dissolve Structuresfrom the menu on the left-hand side. Choose New Entries and enter the names of the structures.
  2. In order to specify the settings for trace levels, choose Define Trace Levelfrom the menu on the left-hand side. Choose an existing trace level and choose Details. A view is displayed that allows you to specify which message types are to be included in the trace level.
