/BEV4/PLDVKORGZ_V - Assign Higher-Level Sales Organization

Use

In this IMG activity you define maintenance sales organizations. Setting up maintenance sales organizations makes it easier to process master data, requests and confirmations.
You can combine several sales organizations that do not process their own master/sales data under one maintenance sales organization. Data in lower-level sales organizations is processed by the maintenance sales organization.

If you call up a lower-level sales organization, for example, to read confirmations automatically or to process them manually, the system automatically goes to the maintenance sales organization on the level above the one you assigned. A maintenance sales organization always controls the sales organizations beneath it.

Requirements

• If sales organizations are combined under a maintenance sales organization, these lower-level sales organizations must be created without a distribution channel and a division.

• You must have entered the sales assignment in the update determination table.

Activities

1. Define all sales organizations that you want to assign beneath a maintenance sales organization.
2. Assign a maintenance sales organization to every lower-level sales organization.

Example

You want to process incoming confirmations from wholesalers that are assigned to different sales areas for a manufacturer, in a central maintenance sales organization. Create sales organizations for sales areas whose confirmations the maintenance sales organization is to process, as lower-level sales organizations.
