You use this Customizing activity to define version types such as baseline, active, and forecast.

  • The baseline version is a read-only version that is subsequently used as the baseline for the finanacial plan.
  • The active version is the current version that you use for planning and forecasting. You can plan change requests only on active versions.
  • The forecast snapshot is the read-only record of the previous forecast month.

You can also define custom version type indicators or leave it blank.

You can map version types to versions maintained in Controlling(CO), which are then later transferred to Controlling.
