Allows you to integrate an external solution for project staffing.

In this configuration step, you decide whether to enable integration with an external staffing solution, especially for your professional services business.

Note:

This setting cannot be changed once you activate the integration and save.

In your SAP S/4HANA Cloud system, you have the following options to manage project staffing:

• A default centralized option that allows project managers to directly plan and staff people to projects.

• A decentralized option that allows project managers and resource managers to collaborate on project staffing. This option can be realized by activating the advanced resource management solution for projects (scope item 1KC).

• A decentralized option that enables project staffing by integrating an external resource management solution using the Commercial Project - Create, Update API. For more information about this API, see http://api.sap.com > SAP S/4HANA Cloud, and search using the title of the API.

Note: Integration with an external resource management solution is not allowed if you have activated the advanced resource management solution for projects (scope item 1KC).

If you want to manage project staffing through an external resource management solution, select the External Staffing checkbox and save this setting.
