In this Customizing activity, you define which period determination rules can be selected in the Pricing Period Rulefield in the terms of pricing for a deal. Instead of displaying every CPE period determination rule for the pricing period rule, you can use this Customizing activity to define which rules are required for your business needs and should be displayed on the user interface.

The system uses the pricing period rule to automatically determine the following values for the pricing term:

  • Base date exclusion
  • Pricing time unit of measurement
  • Pricing units before
  • Pricing units after
  • Pricing offset
  • Offset N value

Period determinations have been configured in Customizing for Commodity Pricingunder Commodity Pricing Engine->Term-Specific CPE Settings->Define Period Determination Rule.
