/DSD/VC_MSGTYP_V7 - Define Message Types

If a shipment that has already been downloaded or printed (collective printout) is to be changed, the user is informed of the status before making any changes. When the system checks to see if the shipment has already been downloaded or printed out, it only checks for successful processing of the messages entered here.

Messages are only processed, in other words the IDocs and printout are only created, if the shipping status entered here has been reached. If this is not the case when the messages are processed, processing is terminated with an appropriate message in the processing log.

This table is also used in the transaction for message processing (=> /DSD/VC_MESSAGES) to trigger listing of individual messages. If the message type for the collective printout is not entered in this table, it is not possible to add the corresponding individual messages to the messages.

For the shipment, messages must be set up for the download (transmission medium 6 or A) and/or for the printout (collective printout).

Enter the message types that are set up

,,o for the EDI download (transmission medium 6)

,,o for the ALE download (transmission medium A)

,,o for the printout (transmission medium 1) => only for the

collective message.

For each message type, you must also determine the minimum shipment status that must be reached for IDocs or a collective printout to be created.
