In this IMG activity, you can define text determination rules for visit plans and visit lists. There are four text objects in visit control:

  • Visit plan header
  • Visit plan item
  • Visit list header
  • Visit list item

To define the text determination, you must process the following points for each text object:

  • Define the allowed text types for each text object.
Example for visit list item:
  • Notes on visit (text type 4010)

  • Notes for emergencies (text type 4020)

  • Define the access sequences. This determines how the SAP system determines the texts for a text type.
Notes on the individual text objects:
  • You do not have to define an access sequence for texts for the visit plan header.

  • You should only have visit plan header texts in the access sequence for texts for the visit list header.

  • Customer texts or contact person texts can be used for texts for the visit plan item.

  • Customer texts, contact person texts, or visit plan item texts can be used for texts for the visit list item.

Example for access sequence 4000 for the visit list item:
  • Sequence number 10

  • Text object:/DSD/VCVPP

  • Description:Visit plan item

  • Text ID:3010

  • Description: Note on visit

---------------------------------------------
  • Sequence number: 20

  • Text object:KNVV

  • Description:Sales text

  • Text ID:0001

  • Description: Sales note

---------------------------------------------
  • Sequence number: 30

  • Text object:KNA1,,

  • Description:Customer text,,

  • Text ID:0001

  • Description: Sales note

  • Group the text types in text determination procedures. The SAP system then proposes the text types from the procedure when processing the visit plan or visit list. The system searches for the relevant text based on the access sequence you have specified for each text type in the procedure.

Example for text object visit list item:
  • Text ID:4010

  • Sequence number:100

  • Description Text ID:Note on visit

  • Reference/Duplicated:X

  • Access sequence:4000

---------------------------------------------
  • Text ID:4020

  • Sequence number: 200

  • Description Text ID:Note on emergencies

  • Reference/Duplicated:

  • Access sequence:4200

Note on Reference/Duplicated indicator
If you select yes, the system duplicates the text from the reference. You can change the text, however this requires more memory space. If you select no, the text is only based on the reference.
  • Assign the text determination procedures to the relevant visit plan type.
