/FRE/SUBST_001 - Substitution Merge Profiles

In this IMG activity you can store parameters which, in the case of a product substitution, control creation of DIF occurrences and also merging of consumption data, inventory data, and open order proposals. These parameters are stored in the substitution merge profile.

You can use the following settings:

1. For the switchover to the follow-up product

You can define if the system is to use the original product as a reference product for the follow-up product and for how long the system is to merge the data (consumptions, inventories, open order proposals) of the follow-up product with the corresponding data of the original product.

1. For the switchover to the replacement product

You can define if the system is to create a DIF occurrence in the issuing location following delivery of the replacement product (in place of the original product) for the original product and/or the replacement product.

1. Replacement product in the assortment

You can define if and how the system, after delivery of a replacement product (in place of the original product), is to merge the data (consumptions, inventories, open order proposals) of the original product with the corresponding data of the replacement product for the original product and the replacement product.

1. Replacement product not in the assortment

You can define if the system, after delivery of a replacement product (in place of the original product), is to merge for the original product the data (consumptions, inventories, open order proposals) of the original product with the corresponding data of the replacement product.

In the case of product substitution, the system only creates DIF occurrences or merges the data if the relevant parameters are maintained in the substitution merge profile and if the substitution merge profile is entered in the master data Assignment of Substitute Product to Original Product.
Note: From the master data, the system copies the substitution merge profile to the switchover information (see transaction for Display of the Switchover Information).

SAP does not deliver any settings.

Maintain the parameters.
