This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Issue and Activity Engine component (CA-IAM-ENG). You can use this BAdI to implement special functions for an object type.

You must create a new object type (key) in your client using the Customizing activity Define Object Type.

SAP delivers several object types with their corresponding BAdI implementations, including the following:

  • MAT: Material
  • CUS: Customer
  • EQ: Equipment
  • FL: Functional Location
  • PLA: Plant
  • DLV: Outbound Delivery
  • DLI: Outbound Delivery Item
  • BOM: BOM
  • BIT: BOM Item
  • ROU: Routing

To create your own implementation, proceed as follows:

  1. Assign the filter values Object Type and Client.
  2. Activate your BAdI implementation.
  3. Deactivate the SAP implementation.

Note: Do not deactivate the SAP implementation before you have created your own implementation. Also make sure that there is only oneactive implementation for a certain filter combination.
