This Customizing activity is only relevant for the evaluation method with the 'fair value' analysis horizon. The percentage rate for deriving the recoverable proportion of the hedge value is determined from the combination of Collateral Standing of Collateral Provider and either Hedge Type or Collateral Type.

The following example explains the system settings. After each example, you can see which row of the Customizing settings refers to each requirement:

• In the system, all hedge types for which the collateral provider has the credit standing "AAA" are to have a recoverable proportion of 80% (in relation to the hedge value defined). (see row 2)

• The value of a hedge to be calculated of type "Hedge_1" is to have a recoverable proportion of 50%, provided that the collateral provider has the credit standing "BBB". (see row 3)

• The value of a hedge to be calculated of type "Hedge_2" is to have a recoverable proportion of 35%, provided that the collateral provider has the credit standing "BBB". (see row 4)

• All remaining hedge types are to have a recoverable proportion of 12%. (see row 1)

This Customizing activity supports wildcard characters. Wildcard is the name given to a placeholder in the form of an asterisk and allows you to make generalized settings for specific table columns. This minimizes the number of entries that need to be made and provides a better overview. In this table, you can use wildcards for the following fields:

• Credit Rating Collateral Giver

• Hedge Type

Note that the "specific entries" are processed first, followed by the general entries.
