In this IMG activity, you configure the settings for the alternative data transport, which you can use to transport change authorizations between logical systems using data carriers (for example, DVD).

Select the scenario for the data transfer, for example ALT: Alternative Data Transport with Change Authorization Transfer and maintain the data required for the selected scenario under Settings and Objects.

  • Settings
  • Specify the sender and receiver system.

  • Define whether the IDoc file is to be deleted in the sender system after the data transfer has been completed.

  • Define whether the name of the IDoc file can be changed in the sender system.

  • Define whether the system should always create a ZIP file or whether the user can decide.

  • Objects
    Specify which object types are to be transferred, for example, equipment, maintenance plans, maintenance notifications.
