In this IMG activity, you configure the following settings:

  • You define the required usage types:
  • You define the displays for the structure and selection area of the Structures Workbench. You enter an evaluation path in each case.

  • You specify how usage types are displayed for the object.

  • For copying force elements and/or structures, you define which relationships of the template force elements are to be converted into which relationship of the copies.

Evaluation paths and usage types are already defined in the standard system.

Check whether the standard evaluation paths and usage types meet your requirements, and change the settings if necessary.

  • In the Usage Types section, define the required usage types:
  • UType

Enter one object key per view (combination of evaluation paths for structure and selection area) that is to be made available via the structure selection in the Structures Workbench.
  • Letter

Enter the letter that is used to represent the relationships of this view when the usage type is displayed.
  • Abbr./Description

Enter an ID and a description.
  • Eval.Path

Enter the evaluation path that defines how the related objects are displayed for the function area of the Structures Workbench.
  • Eval.Path

Enter the evaluation path that defines how the related objects are displayed for the structure area of the Structures Workbench.
  • Auth. Matls

Select this indicator if material planning objects can be assigned to a force element in this usage type.
  • Rel. O-O

Specify which relationship between force elements of this view is to be evaluated for the display of the usage type.
  • Rel. O-S

Enter which relationship between force elements and positions of this view is to be evaluated for the display of the usage type.
  • Rel. O/S-P

Specify which relationship between force elements or positions and persons of this view is to be evaluated for the display of the usage type.
  • Ignore

Select the structures that are not to be evaluated for the display of the usage type.
  • Hide

Select the views that are not to be offered in the structure selection of the Structures Workbench.
  • In the Relationship Types section, you assign one or more relationship types to a usage type.
This allows you to define the assignment of template relationships and relationships to be created when copying separately for each usage type selected as the starting point in the copy operation.
  • In the Relationship Assignments section, you define which relationship is used as the template force element is to be converted into which relationship of copies. You do this for every relationship type of a usage type.
