There are customers who order different materials, but always the same value-added services. You can combine such materials to a VAS-material group and on this basis you can control the requested value-added services using conditions.

In the Standard AFS System no condition table is available that is based on a key combination with involvement of the field material group. In VAS-Customizing you can enter such a combination any time and assign it according to the requirements of your company.

Your company produces shoes with different characteristic values or styles. One of your customers requests that you put a customer label on all ordered shoes, independent of the material. As this customer also orders other goods, you cannot map this case using a general VAS-condition. When defining a VAS-material group SK1 customer 1 and creating a condition type in which you access the material group, you can control the requested value-added service procedure for this customer and all the ordered shoe materials.

You uniquely define a VAS-material group by assigning an alphanumeric key with a maximum of three digits. You assign a short, informative text to this key, with which you can identify your material group.

To assign materials to a VAS-material group, you store the key of this group in the sales view VkOrg.1 of the material master.

If the customer's requests change, you can later assign your material to another VAS-group or remove it.

Before you delete a VAS-material group in Customizing, you should make sure that you do no longer use this group in valid conditions.
