In this activity, you can define a transportable message category, which can be used to group messages. This way, certain log messages can be grouped to be handled only by a specific user or user group.

If an interface uses a recipient assignment table, a recipient can be determined by the message category from an assigned message ID and number. During message processing, the error log list can be used to find the message category in the message category assignment table. Then the corresponding message category in the recipient assignment table is used to determine the recipient.

1.,,Select a namespace.

3.,,Enter a name and description for your new message category.

In Customizing for SAP Application Interface Framework under Define Namespace-Specific Features in Configure Alerts, you can define a recipient assignment table. In this recipient assignment table, you can configure a rule for determining a recipient from a message category.
