In this IMG activity, you enter the posting keys permitted for contract handling. The posting key describes the type of movement that is entered in a document item.

For each posting key, you can arrange properties that control the entry of the document item or that are themselves recorded in the item. The most important properties that are derived from the posting key are the:

  • Account type (debit, credit)

  • Assignment to the debits or credits side

  • Possible or necessary information that is to be entered in the item.

The standard delivery contains suggestions for posting keys.

Use the posting keys suggested or choose others (help function).

The text describing the posting key is displayed in document entry for checking purposes.
