In this activity, you maintain the rules for mapping message types, which the system uses to assign external message types to internal message types.

If you receive a message from a bank, the SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity message header provides you with a message type. If you do not want to use this message type with the different configuration options of the connector for SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity, you can define a mapping to an internal message type. This mapping is used to read the required configuration tables.

For example, you can use such a mapping to align different external message types to common internal message types, which makes the configuration of the connector for SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity easier.
