/DMBE/EVGCANC - Define Cancellation Periods

In this Customizing activity, you define cancellation periods for evergreen deal types. The cancellation period is the minimum notice that must be given by a party when canceling an evergreen deal.

You can configure the following settings in this activity:

• A key with up to four characters that identifies the cancellation period

• A description of the cancellation period

• The cancellation period, which is the amount of time before the expiry date in which the deal can be canceled.

• The unit of measurement (UoM) that is used for the cancellation period (for example, days or weeks)

• The notification period, which specifies how long before the expiry date that the counterparty should be notified of the cancellation.

• The UoM for the notification period

In the example below the cancellation period 01 allows either party to cancel an evergreen deal ten days or less before the deal expiry date. The counterparty should be notified one day before the deal expires.
