In this IMG activity, you make Customizing settings that enable an administrator to exercise control over mobile applications on mobile devices.

You can make the settings at global level, or for specific groups:

• Under Global Settings, you make global settings for the mobile DSD process with mobile devices. The settings apply for allmobile devices that work together with the backend system.

• Under Group-Specific Settings, you make settings for specific groups of mobile devices.

Note that settings made at group level have priority over global settings.

The settings for the mobile devices are based on predefined parameters. Each parameter consists of a combination of Originand Customizing Key. A specific Customizing value is assigned to the combination:

• The Origindetermines the basic meaning of a parameter (for example, FORMAT).

• With the Customizing Key, you determine a specific aspect of the source (such as CURRENCY_DISP).

• The Customizing value specifies a particular value (for example, ###,##0.00). Note that the values can be numeric or alphanumeric, depending on the combination of Originand Customizing Key.
