SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you define exceptions for the conversion of partner countries from the SAP internal code to the standard code used in Intrastat.

As default, the system converts the SAP internal code of partner countries to the respective ISO code. If exceptions to this standard logic are required, you must define these exceptions in this Customizing activity.

Exceptions are required for the conversion of partner countries, for example, in the following cases:

  • In Germany, Monaco (MC) must be converted to France (FR).
  • In Ireland, Northern Ireland (part of GB) must be converted to a separate partner country (XI) and must not be reported as United Kingdom (GB).

This Customizing activity is relevant for all member states of the European Union.

You have carried out the Define Partner Countriesand Assign Partner Countries to Countries of DeclarationCustomizing activities.

Define exceptions for the conversion of partner countries.

To convert Monaco (MC) to France (FR) for Germany in Intrastat, you define the following entry:

  • Country of Declaration: DE (Germany)
  • Partner Country: MC (Monaco)
  • Partner Region: You do not have to enter a partner region because Monaco is not divided into regions.
  • Intrastat Partner Country: FR (France)

To convert Northern Ireland (part of GB) to a separate partner country (XI) for Ireland in Intrastat, you define the following entry for every partner region of Northern Ireland (AM as example):

  • Country of Declaration: IE (Ireland)
  • Partner Country: GB (United Kingdom)
  • Partner Region: Enter a partner region of Northern Ireland, for example AM (Armagh)
  • Intrastat Partner Country: XI (Northern Ireland)
