You can activate order proposal grouping criteria for each procurement type (which defines the relationship between the source and target location). This means that all order proposals created by the automatic replenishment process will have unique values for these attributes.

You can activate the following grouping criteria for order proposals:

  • Purchasing organization
  • Purchasing group
  • Delivery date
  • Processing method
  • Consignment

NOTE: In addition to the grouping criteria that can be switched on and off, order proposal items are grouped by source location, target location, and planning date. Thus, order proposals always have a unique target location, source location, and planning date.

The system applies the grouping criteria for order proposals that are created by the automatic replenishment process. If you manually create order proposals in the replenishment workbench, the system does not apply the grouping directly. Rather, there are two services to help you: one service checks whether an order proposal is already grouped by the customized grouping criteria; the second service splits order proposals based on the customized grouping criteria.
